Can't wait to spend some quality time with you!Jeff and Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16329450268807168285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5456370775022390685.post-19230008272377316632010-04-08T13:06:08.702-05:002010-04-08T13:06:08.702-05:00I totally resonate and have felt those same things...I totally resonate and have felt those same things about our "drug house" neighbors. I go back and forth between fear and wanting to protect and then wanting to weep over wasted lives and hurting people. I feel like the Lord is teaching us how to love, minister, and share the gospel out of the context of our home and family.

Ultimately, it means we will not always be able to keep our family "safe". However, as we continually hand our children's lives and our own over to the Father, He may allow us the sweet opportunity to give someone else a taste of safety, love, security, and healing who never were apart of a family. I feel that God created family to communicate the fullness of His heart- it is a full picture of His love: Father, Mother, and Child-likeness.

So, as parents, we must be wise- yes protect, yes, be cautious, but "there is NO FEAR in love...". How can we really even love our kids with fear in us? God never promised that He would call us to "safe" places, but just that He would be with us!

I love you my friend- I am praying you have the chance to build relationship with these hurting women and communicate the Father's mother heart over them as you do over your own little one. May we learn together how to invite those who never were in a family to be healed in the context of ours.

Can't wait to see you next week. The Morganshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07214578916025716115noreply@blogger.com
